The KGB Cells Museum is located on Riia Hill, across the street from the Ekraan cinema, in a grey building which was used in the 1940s and 1950s by the NKVD/KGB.

How to come?

On foot: Starting from the city centre, walk up Riia Hill. In about 700 m you will see the Ekraan cinema to your left. To the right, there is a five-storey grey building that houses the KGB Cells Museum.

By public transport: There are two bus stops, ‘Riiamäe’ and ‘Pauluse’, right nearby.
Take buses 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 18, 20 or 24 to the ‘Riiamäe’ stop.
Take buses 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 18 or 24 to the ‘Pauluse’ stop.

By car (from the city centre):
Drive past the Tartu Kaubamaja department store and right up Riia Hill. In about 700 m you will see the Ekraan cinema to your left. To the right, there is a five-storey grey building that houses the KGB Cells Museum. Park in Pepleri Street in front of the building.
Pepleri Street is in Zone B (you are entitled to 90 minutes of free parking).
