About the exhibition
An exhibition by Tartu City Museum, "Time and government of Tartu" is open in the rooms for Tourist Information services of Tartu in the Town Hall. It concentrates on the history of government of Tartu, and the City Council from the Middle Ages until nowadays.
The exhibition shows persons and symbols connected to Tartu, an important economical, cultural and scientific centre, as well as the most important periods in its development.
In addition to permanent exhibition, three electronic exhibitions can be viewed - concerning former mayors Karl Luik nad Aleksander Tõnisson, and the history of the Town Hall.
Curator of the exhibition is Aime Kärner, designer Merika Kaunissaare, computer design was prepared by Priit Paris.
